Lowes Poor Toilet - Toilet Installation


We recent had a toilet installed by Lowes . After installation, the toilet was very wobbly. The technician said there was nothing he could do because the flooring was uneven. Worse yet, after he left we discovered the toilet was leaking dramatically on the left side.

Subsequently, we called a plumber and he was able to stabilize the toilet easily using some wood shims. He showed us that the wax ring had also been improperly installed.

I would never recommend having Lowes do an installation; we have had much better luck with home depot.

The Newport News store is horrible. My fiance and i waited over an HOUR to get assistance in the plumbing section,and when we finally did get help, the associate was very rude. We finally got to the check out and handed the cashier our coupon and store credit that we had, she rings up all of our stuff except for the store coupon..and gives us our total. We tell her that she forgot to scan our store coupon and she claims she can't because she's already done with our order....so we ask her politely if she can void it out and start over and to please SCAN our coupon this time. She taks a big sigh of breath in our face and marches off to get a manager. After waiting 20 min. the manager comes back, voids our stuff and the cashier rings it up again. Then she tells us in a rude tone that NEXT time we go to a store we need to ALWAYS give the cashier our coupons first. Geee.. sorry Lowes. Guess i should have taken a class on how to be a good CUSTOMER. Their customer service is HORRIBLE!
