Lowes customer service service


After using the self service checkout, my wife and I were told we could not pay for our purchase with a check although it indicated to us as how we were going to pay for our purchase, we hit the choice of pay by check, at which time we began to scan our items, after we were done and wrote the check out, we were told our check could not be used at this location, at which time we looked for the no checks at this location and of course there was not one to be found, after mentioning this to the lady we were told in a very rude manner that no one reads the signs anyway. I told her that it would help out if they posted a sign or change method of paying on the screen that gives you your method of paying and therefore avoid situations like ours, needless to say she did not like that suggestion. If she is representive of LOWES customer service then I could understand if that department is not well served.However I will not let a unhappy worker discourage me fr4om comming to your store but the next time I will seekout the mgr. of the store and maybe get things right.store code: 11170-41606-47447 Thanks

I am finding Lowes tough to do business with. Went in Friday to order installation of 700 sq ft of carpet and pad. Wouldnt sell it without their people measuring it. OK, my contractor could be wrong in his estimate, so I pay a fee for the measurement and a promise to be contacted for scheduling within 48 hrs. 5 days later I am still waiting. Phone calls to the retail store in Dedham MA go unanswered.
I am out the $35 or I would have been at Home Depot this afternoon.
Maybe tomorrow.

Wow, I did not know this about checks not being accepted at the self service check out. You would think that Lowes would fix this as it would be confusing and frustrating for their customers.
