I always go to Kirkwood, MO Lowe's since it is close to the house and I am familiar with it's products. I have never had a problem with paint, returns, or just asking general questions. They don't always have what I need but they can't carry every product. I have two complaints. 1) The management hides and is not friendly and 'senior sales people' in doors for example act like you are bothering them if questions are asked. There are these types everywhere so not a huge deal...just something you may want to be aware of. 2) As of right now I say as a customer who has spent thousands of dollars there that I am through shopping at Lowe's. I am not a shoplifter and I don't like being treated as one. I like to browse products slowly and every time I notice employees following me or casually coincidentally ending up in the same isle as me watching me and poorly acting as if they are looking at something when I turn. This isn't a 'their out to get ya' thing-it doesn't happen at other stores. I always use the self check out and it never fails that someone comes over and is watching me like a hawk. Today as I was checking out, this old fella scurries over and is watching me: staring hard actually. He then comes over as I'm paying and takes my bag while I'm not paying attention and says he has to make sure that the alarm doesn't go off. For a few cheap plastic pieces? He looks in my bag, scans it then hands it back and says 'your o.k.'. I asked him if he wants to check the bag again he says 'I already did...I was watching you'??? I asked if he wanted to take me in a back room and strip search me. I was furious as I was with my three year old son.
