Kitchen remodel
After 7 months we are finally calling our kitchen remodel complete. Not because we are happy with the finished product but because we are tired of fighting with Lowes every step of the way. It is hard to express how disappointed and frustrated we are with Lowes of Rockledge Florida. I am writing this review to warn people not to undertake a home improvement project with Lowes. The store might be ok for buying items but managing a project is completely outside of their competencies. If I could do it over again I would not have used Lowes. Moving forward I will never use Lowes again for any type of project. Our project ending costing us twice our budget and took over three times longer than expected. But we are most disappointed with the poor quality of the materials, poor workmanship and shockingly poor customer service. Lowes business model is to contract out all of the services. Unfortunately their coordination of the contractors is horrible resulting is large amounts of loss time rework and poor quality. We had to pay full price up front. We ended up having to schedule a communicate with the contractors ourselves. The worst part was trying to get quality problems fixed. Since lowes already has your money they do not respond to customer requests to fix misaligned cabinets and uneven countertops. I thought hiring lowes to coordinate our project would make it easier on us. It was not and I caution anyone who is thinking of using lowes for a home improvement project to expect high prices schedule overruns poor quality and terrible customer service.
